Dr Ying Xu

Dr Ying Xu is a Postdoctoral Fellow at Neuroscience Research Australia (NeuRA) and a conjoint lecturer in the School of Psychology UNSW.  Before migrating to Sydney, Ying was a clinician in ophthalmologic residency training. Dr Xu is currently using systematic review and advanced statistical approaches to exam how lifecourse high blood pressure increases the risk of cognitive decline or dementia.

Dr Ying Xu is a Research Fellow at The George Institute for Global Health and Conjoint Lecturer at the UNSW. She holds Medical Doctor degree and has completed several years of clinical internship and residency in Shanghai. During her PhD and postdoc research, she assisted with project management of two NHMRC projects and led statistical analyses and manuscripts. Her current work includes sex or gender difference in cardiovascular health using big data and clinical trials for dementia risk reduction.
