Mr Andrew Haigh

Andrew Haigh is an Interdisciplinary Research Fellow at the UNSW Ageing Futures Institute, supporting the "People, Technology and Creativity" Research Theme.

Andrew is a senior research officer whose efforts are focused on the design and realisation of the software powering the National Facility for Human-Robot Interaction Research. This Facility provides an incredibly powerful tool for recording and analysing human responses during human-human and human-technology interactions and measuring the accuracy and responsiveness of technological monitoring solutions for human health, rehabilitation and social support. Andrew’s work will ensure that the investment in this facility is fully realised, with a core focus on supporting Ageing Futures Institute investigators to test and refine their innovations.  Andrew comes from an industry background in the development of low-latency and high-availability distributed systems in applications such as payment processing and automated trading.
