THIS SESSION IS NOW CANCELLED AND WILL BE OFFERED IN SEMESTER 1, 2013.
Professor Paul Patton, Professor in the School of History and Philosophy, and dual recipient of The UNSW Vice-Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Postgraduate Research Supervision, will present on his experiences in developing and managing a student relationship through positive communication.
The session will also introduce participants to useful communication and expectation tools and resources and will review the key issues supervisors should consider before engaging in a supervisory relationship. Also covered will be techniques to help supervisors build and develop a strong and effective supervisor-student relationship.
Note: If you are unable to make this session, Dr. Paul Dawson, Senior Lecturer in the School of Arts and Media, and dual recipient of The Vice-Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Postgraduate Research Supervision will be presenting this session on 28/6/2012.
