Biography

Stefanie is a statistician and epidemiologist, working primarily on HIV pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) for individuals at high and ongoing risk of HIV. She has recently completed her PhD, a mixed-methods thesis on adherence to PrEP. She has a broader interest in public health, including HIV prevention strategies, sexually transmissible infections, and behavioural practices.

Stefanie is a statistician and epidemiologist, working primarily on HIV pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) for individuals at high and ongoing risk of HIV. She has a broader interest in public health, including HIV prevention strategies, sexually transmissible infections, and behavioural practices. 

Stefanie completed her undergraduate studies at UNSW in Advanced Science, majoring in Pharmacology. She spent her Honours year at St Vincent’s Hospital in Sydney, exploring the management of gout by general practitioners and patients. She continues to maintain strong links with the School of Medical Science at UNSW, teaching several undergraduate pharmacology courses.
