Researcher Development Unit

Under the leadership of the Pro Vice-Chancellor (Research Training), Professor Laura Poole-Warren, and the operational management of the General Manager (Research), Barbara Chmielewski, the Researcher Development Unit (RDU) has the main responsibility for researcher training at UNSW. The RDU provides services that aim to further enhance researchers’ skills, knowledge and experiences necessary to meet the demands of a research academic career. Generally, the RDU is a central point for information, design and delivery of training and development opportunities for researchers employed at UNSW and affiliated institutions.

In 2013 the RDU is transitioning from a program based delivery model to an integrated Researcher Development Framework (RDF) approach. For further information on the Framework, including sessions open for registration please visit Researcher Development 2013.
