UNSW Gold Star Awards
Grants Management Office
What are UNSW Goldstar Awards?
UNSW Goldstar Awards are awarded annually to UNSW researchers who narrowly miss out on project grants in the major ARC and NHMRC funding rounds. The awards are up to $40,000 to allow researchers to conduct some initial research on the proposed research program, and to allow the investigator(s) to further refine and improve the competitiveness of the application.
Who is Eligible for a Goldstar Award?
Goldstar Awards are available to UNSW salaried appointments or conjoint appointment in an approved location. The successful recipients for the 2013 Awards were selected on consideration of the ranking information provided by the ARC and NHMRC, and preference was given to early career researchers in consultation with the Faculty Associate Deans (Research).
