About Research Storage at UNSW

UNSW Data Archive

The Data Archive is the UNSW supported research store. This service provides UNSW researchers a free, safe, and secure large-scale storage service to store research data for long-term preservation.

Completion of a Research Data Management Plan (RDMP) is a requirement for allocation of storage in the UNSW Data Archive. Research Data Managment Plans are hosted on ResData, the UNSW Library service. Please contact your Faculty Outreach Librarian for assistance in completeing a Research Data Managment Plan (RDMP).

Other (non UNSW) Storage Options

Cloudstor

Cloudstor is a web service on the Australian Academic and Research Network (AARNet) that enables file storage and sharing. You can access CloudStor using your UNSW zID and zPass via the Australian Access Federation (AAF). Cloudstor provides storage up to 100GB of data free of charge. CloudStor can be synchronised to the desktop or accessed via the Web or from mobile devices.

Space.intersect.org.au

Space is a research storage service offered by Intersect. A number of different Space products are now available, these can be used for large scale project storage and collaboration projects. You can access Space storage using your UNSW zID and zPass via the Australian Access Federation (AAF). Storage prices are published on the Intersect website.
