Animal Care and Ethics Course - August 2020


The Animal Care and Ethics course is open to internal staff (UNSW and affiliated organisations i.e. Children's Cancer Institute, Garvan Institute, Ingham Institute, Neuroscience Research Australia, Liverpool Hospital, Prince of Wales Hospital, St George Hospital, St Vincent's Hospital, and Victor Chang), as well as non-affiliated organisations.

Online Program

The course is presented as a series of online modules that cover the following topics:

An Introduction to the Ethical & Scientific Issues with the use of animals for Scientific Purposes
An Introduction to Animal Handling and Basic Procedures in Mice and Rats
OHS Risk Management

Moodle Assessment
Written examination and assignment

Qualification
Certificate of completion
