The Animal Care and Ethics course is open to internal staff (UNSW and affiliated organisations i.e. Children's Cancer Institute, Garvan Institute, Ingham Institute, Neuroscience Research Australia, Liverpool Hospital, Prince of Wales Hospital, St George Hospital, St Vincent's Hospital, and Victor Chang), as well as non-affiliated organisations.

Day 1 Program

Morning session:  8.30am to 1.00pm
An Introduction to the Ethical & Scientific Issues with the use of animals for Scientific Purposes - Part 1

Afternoon session:  2.00pm to 5.00pm
An Introduction to Animal Handling and Basic Procedures in Mice and Rats

Day 2 Program

8.30am to 5.00pm
An Introduction to the Ethical & Scientific Issues with the use of animals for Scientific Purposes - Part 2
OHS Risk Management
Secure storage, handling and record keeping of therapeutic drugs

Assessment
Written examination and assignment

Qualification
Certificate of completion

Payment
$100 - Internal (staff and students from UNSW and affiliated organisations). When registering you will be required to provide your department ID,
          fund code and project/grant code.

$200 - External
          A credit card payment link will be provided after registration.
