Nature Masterclass (face-to-face) is a one day workshop run by Nature editors. The Masterclasses cover how to publish in top-tier journals, create high impact papers and look at what makes a Nature paper. The editors go through how to refine writing and editing skills, as well as provide an insight into how editorial decisions are made at Nature. We ask participants to bring with them a copy of their current or recent research abstract and introduction to go through with the editors during a one on one session in the afternoon.

The Nature Masterclasses are designed specifically to:

• Help increase the quality of your institution’s scientific research output
• Teach practical techniques and strategies for publishing research in top-tier journals
• Engage researchers with a highly interactive workshop
• Provide valuable insights into publishing in high-impact journals

Please arrive at 8.45am. 

Please do not register your attendance unless you can commit to the full day masterclass. If you find yourself unable to attend, you must let us know as soon as possible so that someone on the waitlist can attend in your stead. 

What to bring:

We ask participants to bring with them a copy of their current or recent research abstract and introduction for the one-on-one abstract review exercise.  If you don't have a suitable abstract at hand, you may bring any piece of writing from a paper-in-progress - ideally unpublished work, or even a cover letter or research summary.

Participants are welcome to bring their laptops or tablets to the Masterclass for note taking, however they are not necessary.
