The biannual UNSW Thesis Writing Boot Camp will take place on June 17-18, 2017. The aim of Boot Camp is to provide postgraduate research candidates with a quiet and focussed environment that enables them to write a large chunk of their thesis. Any postgraduate research candidate can apply to participate but preference will be given to students in the later stages of their candidature. The Learning Centre will organise the event, with assistance from the Graduate Research School. Staff from the Learning Centre will be available to discuss with students any barriers to their writing.
The event is free for eligible students to attend. Food, tea, coffee and snacks will be available throughout the weekend. We will also organise some activities to help keep you focused. It is a requirement that participants attend the entire two days of the boot camp. Students should bring a laptop and any books, articles and other materials needed for productive writing.
The Thesis Writing Boot Camp sessions will run at the following times:
Saturday 9:00am – 6:00pm
Sunday 9:00am – 5:00pm
Get in early as places are limited!
