Graduate Research Information System (GRIS)

The Graduate Research Information System (GRIS) is a one-stop shop for processing admissions, candidature variations, and Research Progress Reviews.

GRIS provides a central place for graduate research administrators, School/Faculty staff, supervisors and candidates to track and process these graduate research records from anywhere in the world using their zPass.

Primary supervisors use GRIS to:

  • respond to a nomination to supervise a new candidate during the admissions process;

  • make recommendations regarding applications for program leave, changes to research area, changes to program load, overtime enrolment, and other variations to their candidature;

  • manage candidature milestones through the Research Progress Review system

When an action is required in GRIS, the primary supervisor will receive an email notification that an application or review is awaiting their consideration.

To access GRIS, visit the GRIS login page.

For step-by-step information on using GRIS, please visit the GRIS User Manual for Supervisors.
