The program is open to local applicants only (Australian citizens, Australian permanent residents & New Zealand citizens).
All applicants must meet the following entry criteria to the PhD:
- Applicants cannot be enrolled in another PhD
- Applicants are able to meet the UNSW research higher degree programs admission criteria
- Applicants are able to meet the UNSW english language requirements
Your EOI will first be checked to determine your eligibility (subject to successful admission) for the Industry PhD Scholarship and then considered against the ideal candidate criteria.
If you are shortlisted, you will be invited to an interview. We suggest you make sure you are available to make this interview, online interviews may be possible if you can’t make it in person.
If you are successful at the interview you will then be invited to formally apply for admission to UNSW’s PhD program via Apply Online. Please do not submit an application until you are invited to apply.

- There is only one Scholarship per project and UNSW reserves the right not to offer a scholarship if there are no suitable applicants.
