Dr Ali Ardeshiri is a Senior Research Associate in the School of Civil and Environmental Engineering at UNSW and a member of the Research Centre for Integrated Transport Innovation (rCITI). Before joining UNSW, Ali worked as Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Institute for Choice - University of South Australia. As an urban economist and a choice modeller, his primary research interest mainly focuses on studying the human preferences and behaviour towards any given urban, environmental and resource program and policies.

Ali holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, a Master of Science in Urban and Regional Planning from Shiraz University and a PhD in Planning from Newcastle University (UK).
 


My Research Supervision


Areas of supervision

My research mainly focuses on studying human behaviour towards any given urban, environmental and resource program and policies. In particular, my research seeks to understand choices towards all economic phenomena that takes place within a geographical space such as transport demand, resource allocation, housing, land use re-adjustment and any environmental and resource planning.
