My Research Activities
Dr Al Homssi research is currently focused on the application of artificial intelligence in space, in particular edge-AI, distributed-AI, and neuromorphic computing for miniaturized satellite constellations. He believes that the space industry future will be heavily empowered by edge-computing, transfer learning and distributed-AI, which can provide satellite constellations with the necessary capabilities to perform tasks autonomously, while preserving valuable resources, such as communication bandwidth, energy, and security.
