Dr Kate Hunter is a NSW Health Early Mid Career Research Fellow with expertise cutting across process and outcome evaluation of community based trials.   Her research focus lies in the evaluation of complex pragmatic trials, translational research, developing capacity within Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health research and addressing inequities in access to health services and practices.

Kate is chief investigator examining the implementation of state-wide programs both in child road safety and in injury management processes for medically discharged police officers. Committed to seeing research translated into practice, Kate has convened and participated in roundtable discussions in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander child safety and injury prevention, Aboriginal road safety and burn care for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and was an invited speaker at the Australasian Trauma Society’s conference.
