I have been working in the field of contact mechanics, numerical mechanics and metal forming. I have obtained rich experience on the mechanics characterisation of rough surface contacts using the finite element method, especially those problems related to complicated tribological conditions. For example, I have successfully developed a novel multiscale model for rolling/sliding contact in rough surface contact by using the finite element method and finite difference method. I am also working in the fields of lubrication, wear and bio-tribology.
