Dr Emily McGovern is a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow working in the bioinformatics unit at the microbiome research centre at St George and Sutherland Clinical School/UNSW. Dr Emily McGovern is a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow working in the bioinformatics unit at the microbiome research centre at St George and Sutherland Clinical School/UNSW. Prior to this she obtained a B. A. Mod. Biochemistry from Trinity College Dublin in 2014. Her PhD research (2014-2018) was conducted between University College Dublin and Ireland’s food and agricultural authority (Teagasc).  Dr McGovern has extensive experience analysing and integrating data from a range of molecular technologies including metagenomics, metatranscriptomics and metabolomics.
