Biography
Dr Eftekharian is a senior research associate in School of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering at the University of New South Wales. He did his PhD in Infrastructure Engineering at Western Sydney University, Australia. His research interests include Computational Fluid Dynamics, Turbulent Flow, Computational Hydroacoustic/Aeroacoustic, Fire and Wind Engineering, and Heat Transfer.

2021: recipient of CIB Best Doctoral Thesis/Dissertation Award offered by CIB, International Council for Research and Innovation in Building and Construction.
My Research Activities
My current research activities include computational aeroacoustic/hydroacoustic with particular focus on flow-induced noise in turbulent flow. I also have conducted research in the field of combustion/fire and wind engineering with application in bushfire safety and control. I also have performed research in the domain of industrial ventilation including design of ventilation system for urban/metro tunnels.

My teaching interests/activities include fluid-dynamic-related subjects: Fluid Mechanics, Computational Fluid Dynamics, Heat Transfer, Thermodynamics, and Acoustic.
