Dr Ivan Ho Shon is a senior staff specialist in the Department of Nuclear Medicine and PET, Prince of Wales Hospital and Conjoint Senior Lecturer of the University of New South Wales and has been providing specialist Nuclear Medicine and PET services since 2001.  He has specific clinical interests in imaging guided adapted therapy approaches in oncology and radiotherapy treatment planning for a range of malignancies including head and neck cancers, parathyroid and thyroid imaging and radio-iodine therapy in thyroid cancer. He is supervisor of registrar training in the Department of Nuclear Medicine and PET, Prince of Wales Hospital and supervises research students in the Faculty of Medicine, University of New South Wales. Dr Ho Shon has a number of basic and clinical research interests.  His clinical research interests focus on quantitative PET parameters for prognostication and response assessment and his basic research interests focus on development of novel radiopharmaceuticals for molecular imaging of cell death.
