Leonardo Callegaro is a postdoctoral research associate in the energy systems group of the school of electrical engineering and telecommunications at UNSW Sydney. Leonardo Callegaro is a postdoctoral research associate in the energy systems group of the school of electrical engineering and telecommunications at UNSW Sydney. His research interests include module-level power electronics for photovoltaic systems, dc-dc converters, inverters and control for power electronics.

He received the B.Eng. and M.Eng. degrees in electrical engineering from the University of Padova, Padova, Italy, in 2004 and 2006, respectively. He was awarded the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from the University of New South Wales, Sydney, Australia, in 2018. From 2007 to 2014, he mainly worked in the critical-power industry, specialising in dc power systems for telecommunications and remote area power supplies with battery energy storage.
