Research Interests:

Dr Lixin Ou is a Research Fellow at the Simpson Centre for Health Services Research, South Western Sydney Clinical School/ Australian Institute of Health Innovation, University of New South Wales. She has a broad range of research interests in health policy and health services research, specifically patient safety, quality of health care, health inequality, health services utilisation. Her research experience involves effective discharge planning, literature review in patient safety, quality of health care and social epidemiology. Her PhD research focuses on the assessment of disparities in health status and health services utilisation among ethnic and Indigenous Australian children by both cross-sectional and longitudinal approaches.

  • An ongoing nationally representative longitudinal study in children’s health services utilisation and health outcomes, using data from the Longitudinal Study of Australian Children (LSAC).
