I am currently working as a Research Associate for producing and optimising algorithms for signal processing and data classification using machine learning techniques. The broad area of my research is Signal Processing and Machine Learning for Communication and Network systems. I have also worked on the development of a real-time monitoring system for the health monitoring of coal mining conveyor belts based on a UHF RFID sensing system using signal processing algorithms and machine learning. Moreover, I have worked on the design and development of signal processing algorithms for estimation and data detection of OFDM and multi-relay communication systems in the presence of physical layer impairment such as phase noise and carrier frequency offsets.
I have authored several peer-reviewed journal articles and conference papers published in high-impact IEEE journals and conferences such as IEEE Transactions on Communications, IEEE Transactions on Instrumentation and Measurement, IEEE International Conference on Communications (ICC), and IEEE Wireless Communication and Networking Conference (WCNC). I have been successful in receiving grants from the corporate industry. I have worked as a CI on a research project “Wireless Health Monitoring of Mining Conveyor Belts using RFID and machine learning” at Monash University, Australia, funded by the Australian Coal Association Research Program (ACARP). I currently mentor two doctoral students as a co-supervisor.
