Dr Peta Kerin Hay

Biography

Peta is a lecturer in the School of Education in Gifted Education. She has worked at UNSW in various capacities for over a decade, supporting schools, teachers and parents to serve their gifted students. Peta is a lecturer in the School of Education in Gifted Education. She has worked at UNSW in various capacities for over a decade, supporting schools, teachers and parents to serve their gifted students. One of her favourite parts of her job is presenting the very successful GERRIC Mini-COGE professional learning course at schools across Australia.  She also enjoys teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students about gifted education and practising what she preaches!


My Research Activities

Peta is currently researching the professional learning experiences of teachers of the gifted, the bullying experiences of gifted students, and the use of ability grouping with gifted students.  She is interested in the application of theory and research to teaching practice and the social and emotional development of gifted students.
