Biography

Dr Qiuxiang Huang is working on multi-disciplinary research that crosses between engineering and biology.  He is interested in developing multi-scale coupling techniques for scientific and high-performance computing, including fluid-structure interactions with applications in blood flow, insect flight and low-Reynolds turbulence. Dr Qiuxiang Huang is working on multi-disciplinary research that crosses between engineering and biology.  He is interested in developing multi-scale coupling techniques for scientific and high-performance computing, including fluid-structure interactions with applications in blood flow, insect flight and low-Reynolds turbulence. He worked on developing fluid-structure interaction solvers for simulating collapsible blood vessels during his PhD at Flow Science Lab at the University of New South Wales Canberra (UNSW Canberra). He continued his research career at UNSW Canberra as a Research Associate, working on understanding insect flight based on the combination of computational and experimental techniques.
