Biography
Dr Chen received his PhD from the University of Western Australia, followed by postdoctoral studies at Flinders University (with Prof Colin Raston) and at the IBS Centre for Multidimensional Carbon Materials (CMCM) located in UNIST in South Korea (with Prof Rodney Ruoff), and he is currently an ARC DECRA Fellow positioned in the School of Chemistry at the University of New South Wales. His expertise lies in materials chemistry, particularly carbon-based materials, through the development of new synthesis strategies and understanding of their properties, and applications of new materials in energy storage and conversion and water treatment.
