Miss Isabella Marie Mazzarolo

Isabella Mazzarolo is a classical pianist, piano tutor, and Scientia PhD Scholar at the University of New South Wales Australia (UNSW). Her research focuses on music performance anxiety, investigating how musicians cope with this issue and how music educators can effectively support their students in this area. Isabella has presented her research at conferences including the International Symposium of Performance Science in Warsaw, Poland, and the Women’s Music Festival in Padova, Italy. With a strong interest in the interface between research and practice, Isabella has also presented her work to Ensemble Offspring’s Mondays @ The Church Series on Fear and the Music Teachers Association of New South Wales, and she has contributed to undergraduate courses in music performance and the psychology of music. Recently, Isabella has helped Musica Viva Australia develop digital teaching resources on performance anxiety that will be distributed to classroom teachers nationally.
