David Pye obtained his Bachelor of Optometry and Master of Optometry degrees from the University of New South Wales (UNSW). David Pye obtained his Bachelor of Optometry and Master of Optometry degrees from the University of New South Wales (UNSW). For over 25 years he was the Clinic Director at the School of Optometry and Vision Science at UNSW and from 2009 to 2012 was the Deputy Director of the Centre for Eye Health, at UNSW until he retired in 2012. Since his retirement A/Prof Pye has been involved in postgraduate and undergraduate activities as well as the Advanced Contact Lens Clinic. He has published over 45 papers and presented at more than 80 conferences, both nationally and internationally.  A/Prof  Pye currently holds a visiting appointment at the School of Optometry and Vision Science as an Honorary Associate Professor.
