PhD candidate in the UNSW School of Built Environment with over 15 years of experience in architectural science, sustainability, and certifications schemes such as LEED and AQUA‐HQE. As an architect and urbanist, he holds a master’s degree in bioclimatic architecture and a postgraduate degree in urban engineering. Besides being an Ellen MacArthur Foundation’s Circular Economy Pioneer (2020), he engages in different initiatives of climate change, nature‐based solutions, urban sustainability, and circular economy, including the development of international standards.

My PhD research underway proposes a 'Regenerative Circularity for the Built Environment' (RC4BE) approach to be used in positive-impact transitions of existing urban areas.

As an academic, researcher, and practitioner, my interests lie in most topics concerning built environment sustainability, on both building and urban scales, such as circular economy, regenerative design, community/precinct planning, building design and construction, climate change mitigation and adaptation, life cycle analysis, urban metabolism, nature-based solutions, livability, mobility, urban transitions, rating systems, urban heat island, etc.

My Research Activities

Engaged in the following research activities:
