Professor Faz Rahmanis the Head of the Energy Systems Research Group with the School of Electrical Engineering and Telecommunications. His  research interests include:

Drive System Analysis and Design
DC servo drive, PM brushless DC and Synchronous motor drives, vector controlled 2 and 3 phase induction motor drives, wide speed range, field weakening PM and induction motor drives, Drive design for high dynamic response.
