Professor Paul De Souza

Research Interests:
As a translational cancer researcher I am interested in applying sound biological and pharmacological principles to overcome the 'Valley of Death' in Drug Development. I focus on translating preclinical data into early Phase clinical trials of novel treatments, and discovering novel biomarkers (especially through liquid biopsy) that may help predict response or resistance to treatment: bench to bedside, and back to bench research. Individual cancers of interest include genitourinary, especially prostate, and brain tumours.
