David Sinclair, Ph.D. is a Conjoint Professor at the School of Medical Sciences at the University of New South Wales (UNSW), Sydney, a Professor in the Genetics Department at Harvard Medical School, Boston, Co-Director of the Paul F. David Sinclair, Ph.D. is a Conjoint Professor at the School of Medical Sciences at the University of New South Wales (UNSW), Sydney, a Professor in the Genetics Department at Harvard Medical School, Boston, Co-Director of the Paul F. Glenn Laboratories for the Biological Mechanisms of Aging, and co-founder and co-chief editor of the scientific journal Aging. He obtained a BS and a Ph.D. at UNSW in Molecular Genetics with Ian Dawes, worked as a postdoctoral researcher at M.I.T. with Lenny Guarente, then moved to Harvard Medical School in 1999 as an Assistant Professor. He was promoted to tenured Professor in 2008.

Dr. Sinclair's awards include the Australian Commonwealth Prize, a Helen Hay Whitney Postdoctoral Award, a Special Fellowship from the Leukemia Society, a Ludwig Scholarship, a Harvard-Armenise Fellowship, an American Association for Aging Research Fellowship, the Ellison Medical Foundation Scholarship and Senior Fellowship, the Genzyme Outstanding Achievement in Biomedical Science Award, Teluride Technology Award, Innovator of the Year, a MERIT Award from the NIA, the Nathan Shock Award, the David Murdock-Dole Lectureship, Excellence in Teaching at Harvard Medical School, the Fisher Lectureship, the Denham Harman Research Award, the ASMR Medal (Australian Society for Medical Research). a Knowledge Nation 100 Recipient, an ambassador for business events (Sydney), the Kersten lecturer (USC), a Pioneer Award from the Director of the NIH, Advance Global Australian Award, and the Irving Wright AFAR “Award of Distinction” (2018). In 2014 he was listed by TIME magazine as “one of the 100 most influential people in the world” and in 2018 he was appointed an Officer of the Order of Australia (AO).

David Sinclair is a founder, equity owner, advisor to, director of, consultant to, and/or inventor of patents licensed to Jupiter Orphan Therapeutics, Cohbar, Galilei Biosciences, EdenRoc Sciences (Arc-Bio, Dovetail Genomics, Claret, Revere Biosciences, UpRNA, MetroBiotech, Liberty Biosecurity) and Life Biosciences (Selphagy, InsideTracker, Senolytic Therapeutics, Spotlight Therapeutics, Animal Biosciences, Reprogramming Medicine, Continuum Biosciences, and Jumpstart Fertility). MetroBiotech, Liberty Biosecurity, and Jumpstart are developing NAD boosting molecules/precursors for the treatment of diseases.
