Wing Commander Darin Lovett is the RAAF's Chief of Air Force fellow assigned to UNSW Canberra, specializing in Air and Space power. He is an Air Combat Officer with more than 25-years-experience in strategy and capability development for the Air and Space domains. His diverse background includes space operations and policy, weapons test and evaluation, flying anti-submarine and surveillance operations, coalition partnering, and large-scale transformation projects.

Darin has Master’s degrees in: Science (Technology Management), Arts (Strategy and Management) from UNSW, and Philosophy (Military Strategy); and a Bachelor of Engineering (Aerospace). He is a graduate of the Australian Defence Force Academy (ADFA), Canadian Forces Aerospace Systems Course (ASC), Australian Command and Staff Course (ACSC), and the US Air Force’s School of Advanced Air & Space Studies (SAASS).

His professional interests include grand strategy, air & space power, aerospace technology, and complexity.
