Glycopolymer interactions with blood vessels

The blood vessel surface controls the movement of molecules between the blood and tissues and its integrity is compromised in a range of conditions including trauma, sepsis and diabetes.

This project aims to establish the dynamic structure of the blood vessel interface, a network of extracellular matrix molecules, and establish how polymers interact with this dynamic interface. These fundamental findings have implications for the discovery of effective treatments for pathologies mediated at the vascular interface.
