This project researches the contribution of Australians to the development of media arts as a global contemporary art practice. By way of dynamic online resources, the project will critically evaluate the significant role Australia has played in the global development of media art. Acknowledging and utilising the advantages of user-generated, networked and participatory media, this project presents the achievements of Australian artists and organizations in the context of international Media Art History.

This project researches the contribution of Australians to the development of media arts as a global contemporary art practice. By way of dynamic online resources, the project will critically evaluate the significant role Australia has played in the global development of media art. Acknowledging and utilising the advantages of user-generated, networked and participatory media, this project presents the achievements of Australian artists and organizations in the context of international Media Art History. This will ensure Australia's presence and raise its profile in the global history of media art.
