Current: Senior Lecturer at UNSW Psychology. Lead & co-lead NeuroHIV studies/trials nationally and internationally. Chair of the NeuroCOVID International Neuropsychological Society (INS) Special Interest Group (SIG)

Research Interests:
1. Modelling neurocognitive and brain changes based on chronic infectious conditions:  HIV infection, and COVID-19. I use a combination of neuropsychological and neuroimaging (MRI, PET) methods to improve our understanding of neurocognitive deterioration, but also neurocognitive improvement including compensatory strategies, and brain repair mechanisms. 2. Quantitative neuropsychology methods for the measurement of cognitive change. 3. Cross-cultural neuropsychology: development and assessment of valid neurocognitive tests for various population across the world

Currently available research projects for Hons, Masters or PhD students: COVID-19 cognitive and mental health projects. Multi-Modal MRI-based imaging in HIV infection or cardiovascular diseases; cognitive change methods development, Interplay of immune and cardiovasuclar dysregulation in HIV infection and impact on brain functions, cross-cultural neuropsychology
