Studies of biofilms - or microbes on surfaces - take place at both fundamental and applied levels. Nic’s main research interest is in the biofilm life cycle and particularly in the regulation of biofilm differentiation and dispersal processes.
Grace Karskens teaches history in the School of Humanities and Languages at the University of New South Wales. Her research areas include Australian colonial history, urban history, cross-cultural history and urban environmental history.
Associate Professor Kurosh Parsi is from the St Vincent's Clinical School and is the head of the Department of Dermatology at St Vincent's Hospital, Sydney. His broad research areas are: Haematology, Vascular Disease and Dermatology.
