I am a researcher, senior adviser, trainer, and professor of management with a passion for business, sustainability and social innovation. I conduct projects that bring together and support partners from all sectors in building a sustainable future.
I have more than 25 years of experience in managing projects of applied and fundamental research. I enjoy and excel at working across sectors, industries, and disciplines. My most recent projects include working on innovation for impact with the co-operative sector, developing a social ESG strategy for a leading asset management company, collaborating with partners in health and science on patient centric innovations and advising a raw material production organisation on supply chain sustainability.
I was the founder and Director of the Centre for Business and Social Innovation and co-Director of the Centre for Management and Organisation Studies at UTS. I have a very strong track-record in developing partnerships and securing and managing funding, including public competitive grants (in Europe, Switzerland and Australia), private competitive grands and contract research. For instance, I was one of the Chief Investigators that secured UTS participation in the $40M Innovative Manufacturing Cooperative Research Centre. I also was one of the Lead Partners of Laboranova, a 15M euro project on innovation and led two prestigious Swiss National Science Foundation projects.
I have an extensive international publication portfolio with more than 160 academic publications, including books, book chapters and articles in the best international, peer reviewed journals. I have more than 5200 citations on Google Scholar and my h-index is 28.
I am currently Professor at UNSW Business School and at EMLV. I am the Director of UNSW Business Insight Institute. I am also Adjunct faculty at UTS Institute for Sustainaible Future and the Business Science Institute in Luxembourg. Before that I was a Professor at UTS Business School and at University of Geneva where I served as the Head of the Steering Committee for the PhD in Management, the Director, Executive MBA and the Delegate of the Rectorate for E-learning. Prior to that, I was an Associate Professor at PSL (24th in 2023 QS World university ranking). I also have extensive experience in consulting as an independent adviser or in partnership with several consulting firms in Australia, France and Switzerland.
