Mussel-Inspired Self-Polymerisation Reactions for Enhanced Drug Delivery and Membrane Applications

Mussel-Inspired Self-Polymerisation Reactions for Enhanced Drug Delivery and Membrane Applications

In this project, we are expanding the self-polymerisation reaction of dopamine to new monomeric compounds which incorporate metal-bindng ligands. By introducing ligands directly into the encapsulating shell, enhanced drug uptake should be possible.
Using Robust and Environmentally-Friendly Bio-inspired Polymerisations to Generate Materials with Proton Exchange Applications

Using Robust and Environmentally-Friendly Bio-inspired Polymerisations to Generate Materials with Proton Exchange Applications

This project aims to expand the bio-inspired self-polymerisation synthesis to new applications in the field of proton exchange membrane fuel cell materials. This novel technology can coat a range of substrates using aqueous based systems.
