This project seeks to develop an integrated photocatalytic filtration unit for improving air quality in indoor environments, with an emphasis on aircraft cabins.
In this project, we are expanding the self-polymerisation reaction of dopamine to new monomeric compounds which incorporate metal-bindng ligands. By introducing ligands directly into the encapsulating shell, enhanced drug uptake should be possible.
