Adam researches into media and music, with emphasise on soundscape composition, spatial audio and applied sound design in the areas of arts and health and acoustic ecology. Adam researches into media and music, with emphasise on soundscape composition, spatial audio and applied sound design in the areas of arts and health and acoustic ecology. His creative practice revolves around improvisation with modular audio and visual synthesis as well as live performances to graphic storytelling.

In the area of applied sound design in the arts and health, he has contributed  to projects designed to support sleep in infants, improve hospital soundscapes, understand neurodiverse listening, reduce anxiety, support self-efficacy and highlight issues of chronic illness. Partners in health-related projects include the Sydney Children’s Hospital Network (SCHN), NSW Health, ABC Kids and the Felt Experience and Empathy Lab (fEEL).

He is concerned with wider implications of acoustic justice, and his works have responded to issues of child justice in family courts, refugee rights, language support for migrants, survivors of domestic abuse, environmental sustainability and reciprocity with First Nations.

His installations works have included collaborative projects with a range of artists, including  Izabella Pluta, Deborah Kelly and ESM Projects. He has recorded studio works with Sandy Evans, Ethernet Orchestra and 80T. He regularly performs with his modular synth ensemble the Sydney City Humanoid Electronic Music Ensemble (SCHEME).

Adam is affiliated with the Australian Forum for Acoustic Ecology (AFA), The Arts and Health Research Group, SPACE[r], the Creative Technologies Research Lab (CTRL), The Intermedial Composition Network and The Big Anxiety.
