Dr Alessandro Bressan is a Senior Lecturer at the UNSW Centre for Social Impact.
Alessandro holds a PhD in Management and has over 10 years of experience in academia. He is a passionate educator and researcher who is committed to creating positive social impact through his teaching, research, and practice. His approach to education focuses on developing reflective, life-long learners who can apply critical and creative thinking to address complex social, environmental and organisational challenges. Alessandro teaches undergraduate and postgraduate courses and is available to supervise Higher Degree by Research (HDR) students.
Alessandro’s research focuses on entrepreneurship, sustainability, and social justice, with a particular interest in how entrepreneurs create stakeholder value through cultural embeddedness, environmental sustainability, and social justice, aiming to deliver meaningful, measurable social impact.
Prior to academia, Alessandro worked as a business consultant, supporting organisations in designing and implementing social responsibility and environmental sustainability strategies.

My Research Activities
Alessandro is a scholar in the areas of entrepreneurship, sustainability, and social justice. His research investigates how entrepreneurs create stakeholder value through cultural embeddedness, environmental sustainability, and social responsibility. His work is currently focused on two research streams: 1) Indigenous Entrepreneurship, Taxation and advisory support and 2) Artisan Enterprise, Tradition and Sustainability.

Alessandro is currently supervising two students in the following topics:
1) The Professional Director. Mechanisms to improve the efficacy of corporate governance and the ethical behaviour of Directors in ASX Listed Companies.
2) The spirits distillation industry and the environment: Green leadership to succeed in the transformational process of sustainability.
