Biography

Dr Amy Boyle (she/her) is a Lecturer in Film Studies at the University of New South Wales. Amy teaches into screen, media and cultural studies, and has also worked at the University of Wollongong, University of Newcastle, University of New England and University of Adelaide. Her research is interested in the potential of television, screen media and popular culture for purposes of social transformation. Amy teaches into screen, media and cultural studies, and has also worked at the University of Wollongong, University of Newcastle, University of New England and University of Adelaide. Her research is interested in the potential of television, screen media and popular culture for purposes of social transformation. Amy has published in academic journals including Television & New Media, Feminist Media Studies and Signs, and her monograph, Popular Feminist Television, is forthcoming (Routledge 2026).
