My Expertise

Dr. Aplin's field of research is neural engineering, with a focus on implantable devices that can communicate with the nervous system. He is an expert on the electrical stimulation of nerves, medical bionics, and neural prosthetics. He also has experience and expertise in diseases of the sensory nervous system (in particular, visual degeneration, vestibular dysfunction, chronic pain).

Biography

Felix Aplin is a postdoctoral fellow at the Translational Neuroscience Facility, Faculty of Medicine & Health at UNSW Sydney. He holds a PhD in Medical Sciences from the University of Melbourne, and has completed research fellowships at Johns Hopkins Hospital and Hannover Medical School.
