Jamee is a Research Fellow within the Global Health Equity and Justice Research Group at the Kirby Institute, UNSW Sydney. She is a qualitative health researcher with a cross-disciplinary background in global public health, sociology, disability, and development studies. Her research interests in global public health include participatory and arts-based research approaches, intersectionality, and community participation/partnerships. She has recently been working on cross-disciplinary projects exploring COVID-19 impacts on public and primary health, climate change, health humanities, and planetary health in Papua New Guinea and Indonesia.

Jamee has experience in supervising and mentoring post-graduate students and has extensive experience in knowledge sharing and capacity building in research and evaluation in community-based organisations in Australia, Indonesia, and Papua New Guinea.

Prior to commencing at the Kirby Institute, Jamee undertook a PhD at the Centre for Social Research in Health, UNSW, a doctoral study investigating factors that increase and decrease hepatitis C risk in the social networks of people who inject drugs.
