I am looking for students with an interest in applying machine learning for healthcare. Topics explored in my research group include: causal inference of medical data, deep learning for medical survival analysis, time-series prediction of clinical events from patient history, patient safety issues resulting from machine learning models, bias in machine learning models for healthcare, interpretability of deep learning models for doctor and patient decision making, transfer learning for healthcare applications, and machine learning for mental health and addiction.
