Julia is an Associate Professor at UNSW Discipline of Psychiatry and Mental Health and a Clinical Academic Psychiatrist at Prince of Wales Hospital, Sydney. She led the development of the NSW Tertiary Referral Service for Psychosis and served as its inaugural Clinical Director for five years (2020-2025). Julia has a broad range of interests across research and clinical practice, with a focus both on improving outcomes in mental health disorders and on optimizing brain health. Her current research focuses on identifying and managing modifiable risk factors for poor cognitive and mental health at midlife including during perimenopause and menopause.
