Louis Wang is an experienced cardiologist. He is an educational leader at the St Vincent's Health Precinct in Sydney, where he previously served as the Director of Physician Education at St Vincent's Hospital. He is Head of St Vincent's & Mater Clinical School at the University of Notre Dame Australia.

Louis Wang graduated first in his class at the University of New South Wales, and was awarded the University Medal in Medicine and First Class Honours. He also has a PhD for pioneering research in high frequency echocardiography, and holds a Masters of Educational Leadership (Ed.M.) from Harvard University.

His clinical interests include general cardiology, heart failure, anticoagulation and perioperative medicine as well as the management of venous thromboembolism (deep vein thrombosis / pulmonary embolism). He has published in leading high impact cardiovascular and general medicine journals, including The Lancet, Circulation, European Heart Journal, and Medical Journal of Australia. His personal essays on topics related to education, growth and professional development have featured in Australian mastheads including The Sydney Morning Herald and The Age.
