Biography

Dr Meherose Borthwick is an anthropologist whose work explores craft, textile and fashion supply chains, with a focus on kinship and gender. Her ethnographic research approach incorporate participant observation, interviews and visual methods of film and photography.

Dr Meherose Borthwick is an anthropologist whose work explores craft, textile and fashion supply chains, with a focus on kinship and gender. Her ethnographic research approach incorporate participant observation, interviews and visual methods of film and photography. 

She is a Post-doctoral Research Fellow at the Centre for Social Research in Health, University of NSW, working across two projects: one investigating homemade, amateur and DIY creativity, and another exploring the role of public libraries in mediating digital change in Australia.
