Mohammad is a Research Fellow in the School of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at the University of Sydney, and also, a Visiting Fellow in the School of Chemical Engineering at UNSW Sydney. He has been a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the Centre for Advanced Solid and Liquid Based Electronics and Optics (CASLEO) at UNSW Sydney between 2019-2023. Mohammad received a PhD degree in Materials Science & Engineering from UNSW Sydney in 2018 and a M.Sc. in Analytical Chemistry from Iran University of Science & Technology (IUST) in 2011. Mohammad has also worked as a researcher in the Centre for Smart Supramolecules (CSS) at Pohang University of Science & Technology (POSTECH), South Korea.
His research interests include the synthesis and characterization of liquid-metal-based functional materials for applications in sensing, photocatalysis, optics and electronics. Environmentally friendly piezoelectric materials, especially 1D and 2D piezoelectric nanostructures, nanoporous materials and metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) are other research interests of Mohammad.
